I think it shows your maturity as a pilot and officer to recognize the efforts put in by well trained maintenance personnel. Sometimes younger pilots don't realize that. You might be the expert at flying but realizing that there are guys in the tower, on the airfield and the MX guys launching you that play a big part in getting you off the ground safely comes with maturity as an officer.
