I would rather have someone come up and ask for a pic than sneak around trying to get it. For some reason that seems much more invasive to me. :)

That's interesting to hear, because I suspect that in their minds, going up to you and bothering you for a picture would be more invasive.

Oh god, that's both an ordered and unordered list with 6 items, followed by 8 lists (again, both ordered and unordered) with 1 item each.

I'm not convinced that this is the case 100% of the time.

There are some laws, like the Fugitive Slave Act, in which it was imperative to break. In the Netherlands, hiding Anne Frank's family was the moral choice, even though it was against the law.

More recently, I don't think there was a moral obligation to enforce "whites only" drinking fountains and such.

Now, I don't think this is the case with immigration enforcement. But I wouldn't generalize it to every law.
