Effexor was awful. I was on it for nearly ten years, and switched over; im amazed its still on the market. Good for you for getting off it!

I used to do work in cloud forests west of Tambopata. Have you ever been to CICRA/Los Amigos? I was in Wayqecha when it was first being built in 2003, which lies at the entrance to Manu near Paucartambo. If you haven't gotten a chance to visit high elevation cloud forest, I highly recommend it!
