So in 10 years, can you perceive a warming-induced difference on the ground? Or is that kind of thing only clear from large scale surveys/ imaging? Also, do you have a Teddy Bear named 'Shackelton'?

No answer from OP, but the existing transplant would have failed - rejection can be early or late. So back to diaylsis for him. Second and even third transplants are not uncommon. No lifetime guarantees on kidneys. That's one of the difficult issues with live-related donations.

Worst Transplant story ever: 68 y.o. guy with advanced cirrhosis, gets off the grog, get through the transplant work-up and onto the liver transplant list. Eventually gets the call: there is a match! get to hospital now! Four hours later, no sign of the guy. He has freaked out and was in the pub getting drunk. No liver for you!
