Race is not a fair comparison. The only disadvantage to being black is how other people treat you. It's very understandable that your average black person's attitude would be "I don't have to change, racists have to change."

But being deaf or blind or unable to walk or having legs too short to drive is an inherent disadvantage. Sure, there may be some prejudice from others, but that presumably is not the biggest impact of everyday life that those conditions cause.

You said the because you continued to eat meat for 2 years, you developed a semi-immunity to the allergy. Have you ever wondered/thought/asked about whether or not you could theoretically become completely immune to the allergy? And how long that would take?

Did you ever ask how much longer it would have taken before you'd have been completely immune?

I would think you could compensate for that by adding an extra insole to one shoe? Or having the soles modified?

For whatever reason, because "hole" is not considered a bad word, I would consider "asshole" to be equally offensive as "ass"
