Mindgeek, the company that owns the major tube sites, also owns the major pay porn sites on the internet.

So this isn't piracy, this is one part of the porn industry stealing from the other parts. So there's no point in blaming the consumers for the clusterfuck state that your industry is in.

ChatGPT is based on GPT-3, which is a text predictor, although ChatGPT is specifically trained to be a conversational assistant. GPT-3 is really, really good at knowing what words tend to follow what other words in human writing, to the point that it can take any sequence of text and add more text to the end which goes with the original text.

So if it sees "horse, cat, dog, pigeon, " it will add more animals to the list. If it sees "2 + 2 = " it will add the number 4 to the end. If it sees "This is a chat conversation between ChatGPT, an AI conversation assistant, and a human", and then some lines of text from the human, it will add lines from ChatGPT afterwards which respond to the human.

All it's doing is looking at a sequence of text and figuring out what words are most probable to follow, and then adding them to the end. What it's essentially doing in ChatGPT is creating an AI character and then adding lines for it to a conversation. You are not talking to ChatGPT, you are talking to the character it is creating, as it has no sense of self, no awareness, no actual understanding of anything.

How does a socialist today respond to the fact that socialist revolutions have typically resulted in police state dictatorships? The Soviet Union, Communist China, North Korea, Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge, all of them were fairly classified as disasters.

This isn't just a matter of extremism or conspiracy theories, but a result of the fact that youtube's algorithms are very good at directing people to content they want to see and creating niche online communities.

This means you get communities of people who are interested in knitting and makeup tutorials, people who are interested in reviews of computer hardware, and communities of people who think the moon landing was faked.

How is youtube supposed to stop the "bad" communities? Who is supposed to decide what is bad? Do we want youtube banning all unpopular opinions?

Is it ok if youtube decides that socialism is a harmful philosophy and bans all videos relating to socialism, or changes its algorithms so that no one is ever recommended them?

Which religions are we going to define as harmful and ban? You may think your religion is the truth, but maybe popular opinion decides it is a cult and must not be allowed to spread, so is it ok if we stop people from finding out about it?

This is why arranged marriages, which seem unthinkable to us in the west, actually worked out just fine most of the time, and far more of the time than marriages in the west work out today. People didn't go into them expecting love and happiness and the one person who would complete them, it was in many ways a business relationship.
