The better question is, "why doesn't everybody get that feeling?"

A philosopher studies life and all of its implications, such as knowledge, existence, and reality. They typically only work in university settings, officially that is, but one can be a philosopher without professional context.
That being said, what he is doing for a career is not philosophizing but rather manipulating this manner of reasoning to argue the case of his "clients", or the fossil fuel industry.
Basically he's paid to defend the interests (financial) of the fossil fuel industry by arguing that fossil fuel industries aren't destroying our world. If that sounds like a conflict of interest, it is. But because he's a 'philosopher' and not a scientist, it doesn't matter!

If I wanted to invest in a publicly traded company in the business of water, who would you recommend?
Edit: also, would you recommend investing in companies that trade in commodity water?
