So, I'm genuinely curious and I'm not trying to diminish your contributions. If anything, kudos for wanting to give back. That said, what % of your motivations are altruistic, and what % are "this would definitely look good on my resume"?

“Hormonal balance” in not a clinical term. If someone wants non-hormonal contraception, there is that option.

If someone has polycystic ovarian syndrome and has elevated serum androgens, they may need a contraceptive that contains an anti-androgen.

If someone has endometriosis, they may need to avoid estrogen and go on progesterone only pills.

So, asking for clarification on what someone means by “hormonal balance” isn’t as pointless as you seem to think.
