I don't follow that logic. If I walked up to a black guy, and said "black people be like this" followed by me doing a silly dance, it might be a little offensive.

Fine, let's fix the scenario.

I start making up a silly dance. A large group of white people see me doing it, and ask where I learned it. "It's how the Chinese dance." They later show other people the dance, and say it's a China culture thing.

While not actively insulting a Chinese person, a false stereotype is created, and can still be pretty offensive.

Taking a guess: Microsoft owns rights to digital MW IP, licensing it out to PGI. Hairbrained is either licensed via Microsoft, or sublicensed by PGI.

Second option is likely the answer. PGI will likely earn money off of this
