Problem119V-08002 karma

Every office building I've worked in has amazingly wonky A/C. Some offices will be too hot, some 'way too cold, and if there are individual thermostats it's not clear they actually do anything. No apparent reason (like "this office as 1200W of servers in it and the guy in that office sets his coffee mug on the thermostat".) Is there something that makes office A/C weirdly difficult? Have I just had the misfortune of working in multiple porrly-set-up buildings?

That makes sense, but it seems to be screwy even in offices where the whole floor had been stripped down to the girders and built to the current tenant's floor plan.

If the pandemic is severe enough that planning, preparedness, hospital care, etc., are no longer relevant responses? I suspect the answer is, she'd likely be dead by then.

But you are trained in working around infectious diseases in general, right? My understanding is that ebola isn't a whole lot more transmissable than a lot of diseases, and the same precautions work for it as for any other virus— it's just that if you do catch it, you're more fucked than you would be if you caught, say, a norovirus.
