On the subject of death, are there elderly inmates who were sentenced to life in your prison? If so, is there any chance they would be able to get out to see the outside one last time?

I'm late here, but since no one answered your question I'll answer. I also have not read Mr. Aslan's book, so this doesn't necessarily represent his view.

Part of the story of Jesus' birth is that his father had to go to the city of his ancestors to take part in a census for the Romans. The Messiah is supposed to descend from the line of David, and Bethlehem is the city of David. The problem with that statement is that the Romans never ordered a census.

As a Christian, that means almost nothing to me. I am interested in the teachings of this man Jesus and the context, not the story that was written years later.
