Do you have any idea why such invasive measures were taken against your family? What your brother did was illegal, sure, but he wasn't a drug kingpin or sex trafficker. Was there any indication that he was a flight risk or a (physical) danger to others? I just don't understand how pictures of you running would aid them in an investigation if there was never indication that you or your parents were involved.

Not the OP but I live in the same area and have friends who did this during high school (not "city kids" but more of a rural-suburb of Sioux Falls) and yeah there are quite a few kids detasseling during the summer. I never did it but heard a lot of people in my class complain about how shitty it was. Pretty good pay for 14-16 year olds though.
