How do you coax people whose ideas are much grander than their skillset?

Good afternoon Your Excellency,

My question to you is how might we return to the intention of the teachings? How can we convince society at large to use these stories (be they truth, embellishments, or lies; it does not matter. They exist and impact us and so they are real) as lessons to learn from instead of weapons to harm each other. People use the teachings as en excuse to hate instead of to love. The problem is that the church is in an incredible position to really reach out and help people stop projecting all this hate and “other-ness” but nothing has really worked. I think we can’t use current marketing tactics to “reach the kids”

There needs to be an honest love coming and it’s often lacking. The church lost its focus. It’s turned to the digital age and lost what made it so special: connection. With community, with each other, and for those who seek to worship, with the Lord.

It has become another chore for those who wish to participate and a weapon for those who never bothered to learn its lessons.

What can and will you do to reach out and be known? Why do YOU think it’s important to bring religion to people?

I am an atheist, but I see and understand the importance of religion. I know that it will always be a force in this world, but I fear that the goodness is being sapped from it. I want to help stop that. I want this monolith of an idea to be used for good.
How do we do that, Your Excellency? How do we use this to unite people in love instead of frightening, weaponizing, and dividing them?

Because what the church is doing now, isn’t working, and we can’t afford to do the same thing over and over in the hopes that suddenly it will work. We need positive change and we need it fast. People need something better to look to for moral guidance and all we have is media. Be better than the other examples. Be better in every way.

Are you (or anyone you know of) trying to go beyond lawsuits and move into drafting laws, so as to prevent the problem rather than punish after the damage is done? Possibly assembling oversight committees or something?
