Search around for classes or workshops first. A home setup would take a couple thousand and if you ask around at the classes/workshops you might get a good deal on equipment.
Ventilation is very important too, that is another couple hundred.

How long did it take for you to feel confident with the outcome of your glass? Just messing around compared to making gallery pieces.

After you get all that sorted out, you still have to get the glass. Not as expensive as the other stuff but all those pretty colours are tempting. Got to try them all out.
