That's the problem with "average". I can't speak to dispatchers, but the "average" pilot salary on glassdoor in the US is $97k. When I first started at a regional airline, I made less than $24k (which was actually a lot at the time). As a captain at a regional, I made about $110-120k. As a First Officer at a major, guys at my seniority and longevity can easily make $150k+ with an average amount of work. A couple years ago, we had a few captains break $1M by playing the system within our contract rules.

The scale isn't a bell curve. It's very bottom and top loaded, which skews the average.

This is the real question. I am one of those "independents" OP talked about, and I am super excited that Ben is running as he is probably one of the only people who legitimately has a chance to unseat Mia. I might agree with your policies OP, but you stand no chance in a general election against Mia. So, I dont mean to offend, but rather to be realistic: How do plan to get me, a moderate Dem, or dear god any moderate Rep in the district, to vote for you over McAdams? And in the general, over Mia?

I can't speak for OP, Auric, or $25k, but...

I live in Utah and we installed solar on our house a little over a year ago using a competitor to OP's company (slightly cheaper, better panels, much better financing). Our system cost a little over $17,000 for 4.5 Kw. ($3.80 per kW installed). There were cheaper options, but we thought this was a better value. Also, no battery yet, but that's in the plans. I imagine it has gotten cheaper since, although I don't know what these tarrifs Trump put in place have done to that.

I don't know about OP, but at my last job, there was one dispatcher who would put a one or two paragraph description of the entire system (most often just weather, but sometimes delays and company issues too), as well as a sentence or two about how it all affected our specific flight. That level of communication made it such that I almost never needed to contact him, but when I did, he was the most helpful person you could ever have the pleasure of talking to. A phenomenal dispatcher.

Here's to you, Joe!
