You will be grilled like a prime steak when you file for a SSN. A person your age has to appear in person with your birth certificate and An ID and have a detailed interview explaining why they weren't enumerated earlier. It's been a few years since I worked there, but I do know it was considered highly suspicious and we also were required to request supporting documents showing details. Your information fromMedi-Cal will be helpful there. Don't be discouraged, it will get worked out. I always hated seeing stuff like the situation you find yourself in. It is more common than you might think.

Sorry you had to go through this and live with the misery it holds. My sis had polio she got it before the vaccine she was born in 1948, is ten years older than me. She has less severe results but I know how much pain and fatigue she has.I am certain yours is as bad or worse than hers. I have always felt guilty I was able to be protected by the vaccine and she wasn't. This is a great service to open yourself up like this. I think many people don't realize how bad polio was..and that there are people still affected.

I have a friend who became a surrogate after her own family was complete. She did it for a friend, with her husbands blessing. Friends egg and friends husbands sperm. No monetary comp other than some maternity clothes and medical costs. It has been three or four years now. Everyone seems happy with it,and I have so much admiration for her and her hubby for doing this for another couple who wanted a family so badly. When I see her this is always the first thing I think of,and just wonder how unselfish you would have to be to do this! Hope this works out great for you and You are always happy with your decision to be a surrogate.

You look great and I am thrilled you had such great results. this is kind of a rough question-how much anxiety do you have worrying about the possibility of rejection? I know with an organ transplant (my Dad had a heart transplant) it didn't take him long to realize he had traded one set of worries for a different set. He felt it was an acceptable risk as I am certain you must. If you did have a severe episode of rejection not treatable/stoppable could you have a second transplant? Would it be possible to survive rejection and debridement and wait in hospital until a new transplant available? Hope this never happens and you do great for many many years!
