2. You have such a good heart bringing those kids to sit with you. Has any kid told you he or she wants to be a lawyer?

I'm very glad you're alive! Was anyone around in the home when this happened? Did you end up calling for help yourself? How long was your recovery process, and what was your greatest difficulty during that time?

Good afternoon, Dr. Farmer! I am a college graduate currently hoping to get involved in global health. Looking at the current politics in the world, the existing socioeconomic disparities, and our many technological advances, I sometimes wonder about how close we might be to going astray, away from fighting for the human rights of others and towards a culture of obsession with ourselves.

My question is: If you could give my generation one sentence of advice to live by, what would it be?

What stories can you tell about the people you've met along your way? What're the most touching ones or the ones that made your experience that much more worth it?
