That's basically the difference between a blood choke and an air choke. Blood chokes focus on the carotid artery to cause a loss of blood flow to the brain, while an air choke is basically what it's name entails, in that you're causing the loss of oxygen and possibly doing damage to the trachea, depending on how hard you're doing said choking.

Air chokes are also a hell of a lot more painful to experience.

There's bound to be a slew of wrestling fans in this thread due to Kurt Angle being a part of the film.

That said, they're not exactly fans of someone calling it "fake". We know it's "fake", but it's just not a word we like to use. So a lot of wrestling fans will react to it.

The athleticism and inherit risk involved is mostly the reason the word fake is looked down upon. We prefer scripted, or something of the fashion if you're going to involve it's scripted and predetermined nature, because things can and will go wrong, sometimes very wrong, at any given moment.
