This is a nice answer, but it smacks of politician spin. It is all ideas and no examples of action. What is the best way to evaluate teacher performance? What is the best way to help struggling teachers improve? Why should tenure exist? What do we need to provide teachers with from day one to help them? What should the pay scale for teachers be based on?

I once saw Powell on meet the press, and apparently his representative turned the camera away in order to end the interview (unsuccessfully). I wonder if that was the same person?
