What's going on here?

Thank you!

Over ten years ago an online friend I met on LiveJournal posted a free code to get the kit because her nephew had leukemia. I registered and they sent it. I swabbed and sent it in. That was in April. . . By September they called with a match.

I went in for blood screening and more tests. We were a 7/7 hla marker match. Which is practically perfect. By April of the following year I was en route to the hospital for the transplant.

I got a letter from the parents shortly after. It was an update saying their daughter was doing great and doing all the stuff normal 4 year olds do. I'm crying thinking about it now.

I'm so glad I was given the opportunity to save a life. In the letter they wrote "save a life, save humanity" This has since been my motto. If you can help you have a moral obligation to do so.

Thank you so much for what you and your sister have been doing. When so much is going wrong in the world always look for the helpers. Very much love is sent your way.

So, what was the deep root of motivation for this?

Edit- HLA not MLA.
