Absolutely. I want to be able to mess with it for a few minutes while I'm listening to a podcast. I actually get mad when a game shuts off what I'm already listening to.

I feel like the problem here is that "good" can mean a lot of different things depending on what question you're asking and how you're measuring the answers.

Yeah, I think the most effective mobile games work well because they know their role. Phones just don't have the capability to imitate the immersive environments that PC or console games can create. My all-time favorite mobile game is 9 Innings Baseball -- it's incredibly simple, fun, but not so distracting that I can't still focus on my podcast or audiobook while I'm playing it.
