There's a Taco Bell in my area that has the best night staff of any fast food restaurant I've ever been to. They're always super happy and joke around with us.

A new Taco Bell opened up closer to my house, but I still go out of my way to buy from the "fun" one.

I asked the drive through guy at my Taco Bell how he liked his job and he said it was amazing. He said his manager tries to keep the employees happy and that's how they're always in such a good mood. Is there any incentive for a manager to treat his/her employees well?

How does this work for ebooks? Is it actually enforceable?

I have chronic pain as well and agree that NSAIDs or Tylenol are completely insufficient. However I do try to keep an open mind about alternative pain management options. I don't want to be tied to opiates for the rest of my life.

So far nothing has touched the constant pain, but mindfulness has actually been beneficial for acute pain flares. I'm not telling you to try it (trust me, I know how annoying it is to have every Tom, Dick, and Harry who has ever had a headache try to tell you how to cure your chronic pain), just suggesting that it's ok for a placebo to be a placebo if it reduces my perceived pain.

Good luck to you!

I get it. 100%.

On one hand I want to help people who are actually drug abusers. I don't want to enable. Perhaps the best case scenario would be instead of just saying "no more candy for you!" there should be some kind of not-quite-rehab program while you wean off. But I know that's expensive and addicts are the scum of the earth to politicians so that's not something they'll spend money on.

On the other hand it's bullshit that people with real needs are being denied because some other assholes are abusing the system. It's my opinion (and I'm very liberal so I know it's not necessarily a popular general opinion) that we should never hurt good people with rules made for bad people. I know real life is way more complicated than that, but every time I spend 2 days doubled over in pain because of some bureaucratic mix-up with my prescription refill I want to kill myself and it's not really ok to make law-abiding people feel like that just to make it harder for drug abusers to get a drug they're going to get anyway.
