Thank you. This is my experience working with deaf individuals as well. The plasticity of the brain is amazing, and works to the point that within deaf culture, you really can't even tell the brain is compensating for a loss of hearing, more like they're people who hearing is irrelevant to.

Since hearing is such a big player in growth and shaping of the mind - what would the equivalent be for deaf people? Or if there is no equivalent, what do deaf people then lack?
