You do realize that the article cited was written by the two people doing this AMA, right??

I have no idea what the facts of this case are, because the article is written as a persuasive piece, and not in a research manner. I would really like to read court testimony to have an informed opinion, instead of relying on an obviously biased person's account of the situation.

I'm not saying OP is wrong, or Boston Children's Hospital is right... only that the information linked does not provide enough evidence of fact to make a determination.

Munchausen by proxy is a very real, and serious crime perpetrated on children and elders who are unable to think, act or make decisions for themselves... the hospital had a responsibility to THE CHILD to protect her if they had reason to believe she was being harmed.
