I have found what appears to be a number of apartments in the same area run by one person or company under different host profiles.

Is this common? And is there a reason for this?

Yes, exactly as you describe in the video. This is for Tiong Bahru, a popular area in Singapore. The identical pictures with different hosts and prices.

Because my previous posts weren't within guidelines I deleted them... here are the details again.

However nearly every listing in that area has after the apartment photos the same pictures in the same order showing things like digital door locks, pillow types, etc, all obviously lifted from advertising.

Should add that a couple of years ago we stayed in the same area with a host and apartment that is no longer listed. Apartment was as described and had the same (from memory) set of facilities pictures. We had a problem with the door lock and he responded and turned up within the hour. Host was the same person shown in the profile.

So should we only be looking at places that only appear once? And is the lifting of identical facilities pictures likely to be an indication that this is all the same person?

We went to a place on an island in Thailand, it was a few years ago and I just can't recall the name. It's a large sand island with a village that is occupied by fishing people, but they go back to the mainland in the wet season.

Dogs get left behind, I think unintentionally and have to fend for themselves for months. When the villagers return, if a dog is too feral they shoot it.

The lady who took us was trying to organise a sterilization program but was facing resistance from the locals. She said it was because of their religious beliefs. That seemed a bit odd, but anyway.

We had to cut short our stay because the resort (it was really just a few bamboo huts and a bar) was overrun by male dogs when the resident dog came on heat. Barking and fighting all night, there must have been 20-30 dogs hanging around.

Shitty situation for the dogs and for the people both locals and visitors.
