How did the developed countries failed to contain the pandemic? Most of them are experiencing a very severe 2nd wave. What was special about the response by China, New Zealand etc which other countries missed?

Yes, communication, cooperation and general awareness has been key in reducing the spread. But places like South Korea, British Columbia, Hong Kong, Germany did not do well with 2nd wave. I feel they opened up many sectors of the economy too soon. And did not put the restrictions back on time. I wish they made more judicial choices in easing the restrictions.
