Man, that 5-MeO-MET trip sounds like how I feel on low doses of shrooms. A lot of anxious, uncomfortable energy that builds and does nothing.

How do you maintain a love of art with the knowledge that it ultimately has to be gutted for the sake of capitalism and sales? That's where I'm at.
Got an MFA in creative writing and a BA in interactive storytelling. After graduating, I took a few gigs, but I couldn't ever shake how awful it felt to create stories for market. There's no creativity in painting by numbers.

I see where you're coming from and I did try that. The problem arises in that doing creative work for money means you will have to compromise values to, well, eat and keep a roof. The other problem is the ultimate aim of commercial work is money. It's not about what can be created or the value that holds, or even the ultimate experience for the end user. It's all about money.
It feels like, to me, being a commercially successful writer often means you have to give up artistry. Especially in modern game design. Art and capitalism are at odds. So even if you have a space that's all yours, that's separate, there will forever be a gulf between what brings purpose and what sells.

Disclaimer: I'm not good at math
After doing a quick lookup for average semi-capacity, I found that a pretty good starting point would be 3489 cubic feet. According to the Northern Potato Grower's Association, 1 cubic foot of potatoes is about 42 pounds worth. So I have 146,538 pounds (~73 tons) of potates per semi trailer. For the rest of the world, that's like 66.5 metric tons of tubers, I believe.

Did you undergo DBT therapy and, if so, how effective was it for you?
