Related to the parent question, do you ever feel unsafe going out by yourself, out of fear that someone might get violent to you? Or do people generally understand when you explain it to them?

According to US law, yeah. In reality, I was perfectly able to consent at 15, I knew what I was doing and made a conscious decision. Never regretted it.

I wonder what would possess those parents to decide to ruin some young guy's life over this. I mean, my parents were not stoked about me being sexually active at 15, but they sure as hell weren't going to sue my boyfriend over it. This story could happen to lots of people, OP was mostly just really unlucky, I think.

That must be difficult to deal with, especially having to think about fertility issues at an age where most people wouldn't think about that yet. And as a woman with recurring uti's, I can imagine living with one kidney would make you nervous.

I wonder, do you have hearing problems as well? And does anyone else in your family have this syndrome?
