I'm surprised they used ice water. Usually it's warm water. You let the rice bits cook in the water a bit, then scrape them off the side of the bowl. You end up with a kind of rice soup. Koreans like it.

What did you think the first time you saw an iPhone, basically a tricorder, or an iPad, basically Picards' PADD? When I watch those shows now it's amazing how far ahead of their time they were and how accurately they were able to predict (some) future technologies.

When are you guys going to start really digging into tether and Bitfinex? I have followed this space for years and my feeling is they are the elephant in the room. They bankroll most of these scam exchanges (ftx, Celsius, Binance, etc) with tether funny money that they print out of thin air. They take some of the profits and then disappear when the exchange implodes.

Tether sent something like 37 BILLION tethers to ftx. Tether claims every tether is backed 1 to 1 with USD but they've never done an audit proving that and there's nothing stopping them from printing unbacked tethers.

Yea he's leaving this out: http://www.quizlaw.com/blog/max_karson.php

During a discussion of the shooting in a gender and race class, Max Karson made comments sympathetic to the VT shooter, saying “if anyone in here says that they’ve never been so angry that you wanted to kill 32 people, you’re lying,” and that he was “angry about all kinds of things, from fluorescent light bulbs to the unpainted walls, and it made him angry enough to kill people.” Karson was also reportedly asked: “Would you kill all of us?” His response: “No. Not all of you.”

What's really sad is this was 13 years ago! Most people would have long since moved on with their lives and tried their best to forget about it. He's still clinging to this, like he's mining it for attention or something.

What is the communities position on drugs? I'm going to take a wild guess that marijuana is probably fairly common there, but what about other stuff? Are there rules against hard drugs or alcohol abuse or are people free to do whatever they want as long as they aren't bothering others?
