I had 1 kidney removed 15 years ago due to a cancerous tumour. I recall that annoyance as well; a lot of people would ask “how are you feeling” instead of “how are you doing”.

I know they meant well but... idk maybe if they said ‘you look great’ or just keep it the same. Asking someone how they’re ‘feeling’ is so...personal. Sometimes I wanted to ask them the same thing back but didn’t. They meant well.
