Hypothetically, if World War Two had gone Hitlers way, but, years later, Hitler died and Naziism declined to a more vanilla ideology. Consequently economic and social prosperity abounded across the globe, industry was strong many certain people across the globe were happy and content. Would you have said that the benefits of Naziism outweighed the costs?

"That Angela Merkel has been a disaster for Germany. For many years"

"That the benefits of the British Empire outweighed the costs."

Do you think Indians that disliked British colonial rule were wrong to do so as the supposed benefits outweighed their gripes?
