Funnily enough, I also have CF and for a few years in elementary/middle school I played the sax before my lung function deteriorated too much and I had to switch to percussion.

As another CFer I feel semi-qualified to answer this because CF varies from person to person as it has a number of mutations. I spend an average of 90 minutes a day doing treatments when healthy (Vest machine and nebulizers) before school, a short one when I get home, and then a long one before bed. Sometimes if I'm sick I can spend twice that time doing treatments.
