Did you learn Spanish? Also that's really cool you traveled from Germany and decided to visit Latin America! I'm from Puerto Rico which is an island in the Caribbean, and I've always wanted to visit South America. I think reading your post has inspired me to someday visit South America.

i think insects are underrated too. there are some amazing insect species out there and they get overlooked
