Edit: I dont understand all the downvotes, nor do I care. This is an AMA, so I asked him a question. It wasnt even that insensitive of a question I dont think. I said this in another post, but since youll be leaving on a cruise soon, I want to make sure you see this:

My girl and I went to the same pool, same location every day. It was the "party" pool with people around our age. They have people walking around offering you drinks/whatever all day. I met a waiter named Ryan - ordered two drinks from him and I left him a $5 tip and told him that Ill be at this spot all day and to please just keep checking on me. That dude was on it all week. Every time id see him he would just bring me a beer.

So I tipped him once a day between $5-20 a day (depending on how long I planned on staying at that location)

Point of the story is - if you tip with CASH then that person gets to keep it. If you tip on the card then it is split up between X amount of people. So if you find someone you like, who treats you well, please tip that person in cash.

I just got back from a cruise on Royal, and not everyone has to get a drinking pass, but there is a 5-10 minute grace period between transactions. So you just cant keep going up swiping your card. My girl and I bought two different passes just so we didnt have to be with each other every second of the trip. She usually took a nap during the day while I kept drinking.
