I posted a simple comment about a week ago, one of the shortest comments I've ever posted (and I don't post often) and it quickly started garnering upvotes. In the first hour it garnered a couple of hundred. I went to bed and when I awoke the next day I had 5,000 upvotes and about 50 responses for this simple comment.
It's strange how it works. I've given some really lengthy, in-depth and thought out responses or posts and you get like one upvote, or sometimes none at all.
