What is your favorite book or one book you would suggest that every person read?

Thanks! I'll definitely check these out! I like asking about for favorite books from AMAs that sound interesting so as to build my personal library a bit more.

I've been learning Spanish for a couple of years now and I still hear Spanish as a foreign language but I can often times understand words/phrases/whatever is being said through years of word translation and memorization and it often takes me a second to process and mentally translate what I heard. Do you hear these different languages as foreign or are you able to instantly identify what is being said and accurately respond? Do you have an tips for going from memorizing a language to learning and understanding a language?
