Quite some years ago I recall being infuriated that Gamestop opened the game package right in front of me before giving it to me upon purchasing. I never went back. Why did they do that? Did they stop?

I think I recall that one time. But the last time I went they actually opened it in front of me. Maybe more to prove the disc was there. In any case, I hope they stopped because it totally ruined my cherished "unboxing" experience as a kid.
