Wow. I knew the Japanese dabbled in biological warfare, but the amount I learned just from reading the Unit 731 Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731) was astounding.

The associated Operation Cherry Blossoms at Night (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Cherry_Blossoms_at_Night) about the Japanese plan to use biological weapons on San Diego in September 1945 was really interesting, too. The page also mentions that the Japanesse launched 9300 incendiary and antipersonnel bombs that were carried by the Jet Stream to the Pacific Northwest. In Bly, Oregon, 6 picnickers were killed by one (which would mean the statement commonly given right after 9/11 that the 9/11 attack was the first on American soil since Pearl Harbor is technically not ture), and another hit a farm actually short-circuited the power lines leading to the cooling pumps at Hanford, WA's nuclear reactor (which was part of the Manhattan Project). The plant's backup safety devices luckily restored power almost instantly. That could've been pretty disastrous, though.

The amount of lucky times the US narrowly missed biological/chemical attacks from Japan was apparently huge. We really got lucky quite a few times

Hey guys, thanks for doing this! I've been going to Roo since 07, and I've also done a few other AS events, like Vegoose 07, Big Ears '10, and every Moogfest/MOEMS. As a native Knoxvillian, I really appreciate all you do!

My big question is- and I've been saving this one forever!- will you be selling more of the Tennessee state flags with the Roo "triple-O" symbol replacing the stars in the center this year?? I want one so badly, but they've been sold out before I get there the past two years! If not, you should put some up on your website!

Thanks a ton, guys!!

Have you considered adding larger art installations?

I've been to a ton of music festivals, including every Roo since 07, but the one thing that blew me away about my first Coachella experience in 2012 was the magnitude of the art installations. On Sunday morning there was a 60 foot tall dinosaur that stood where a similarly sized flower had been the day before. On top of that, it moved! Every few hours it was in a different position. Something of that nature would be really cool on the Farm!

Thanks, guys!

Hey guys, I'm a huge fan of your music, and have seen you a handful of times over the past few years, including a couple of shows down the road from me- at Bonnaroo! I live in Knoxville, TN, and I've helped tons of friends discover your music over the years, so I was naturally very excited when you announced a show here at the beautiful and historic Bijou Theatre. It was built before any real modern amplifier existed, so the acoustics are fantastic. (It might be my favorite indoor venue I've ever been to, including the Ryman!) Then I realized that you were playing here while I'll be at Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores. While I'm naturally really excited about seeing you there on the beach, I'm sad that I'll miss your first show in my lovely city. Will you guys please keep Knoxville in mind when you plan future tours?? We'd really love to have you back! If you do ever come back, feel free to hit me up- I'd love to give you a tour of this beautiful place! Keep doing what you do, and thanks for the great music and performances.

PS- I loved when you brought Weird Al on stage at Bonnaroo! Any chance of a future collaboration?

Is there any truth to the long-time rumblings about The Dead members never coming back after the 08 Kanye debacle? It seems to me that if the Roo community as a whole acn forgive him, then loving people like them should be able to!
