I think this came up in an episode of the show, but I can't remember which. In case you don't get an answer, he posted a video on the topic: http://jacksongalaxy.com/2012/01/18/the-politics-of-litter/

I'm having trouble thinking of questions. What I want to do isn't strictly IT in the sense of setting up networks or user support kind of tasks, although I guess there could be some crossover.
I guess, what kind of roles do you see having a lot of openings in the field? Anything specific regarding data or data management? I'm looking for jobs now and I'm trying to get guidance on what to look for.
I don't have a full picture of the field, though I did work for just over two months in a hospital informatics department. (Or at least that was the shorthand several groups went by.) My job however was mostly untechnical--I had to get providers to sign up for training on the new EMR system. Yeah... fun.

Oh darn, I missed this... although it seems to have happened pretty late for me. I'm a BI student interested in healthcare so I'm definitely going to read through this whole thread.

Here's something I learned elsewhere on Reddit: if your son does not already have a passport, sign up for the Children's Passport Issuance Alert Program.
