People are so concerned with it because it's the one real question anyone has about youtube. It's the one thing people don't understand, so it's the one thing that people want to understand.

It clearly has to be fairly sustainable at the 85000~ subscribers you have. It's like making your own business except it cuts out so many of the steps. I think you're naive to ask why people would ask you this question.
