There wasn't a thing in that answer that addressed the value inherent in the iWork programs vs. MS Office. Every single thing you mentioned is available in some competing form for free:

Office 365 vs. Pages/Keynote/Numbers
Always being up to date vs. Software Update
OneDrive vs. Evernote/Google Drive/iCloud
60 min of Skype vs. FaceTime/Google Hangouts.
