What would you say is the most difficult aspect of designing something for space vs the same device for use on earth? (excluding hardening for launch)

I thought they had indicated early on that they were going to be coming to "other platforms" and I thought I had engaged the devs at that time and they said a linux version was "likely". I was so excited I started an IRC channel for the game and moderated it for a few years. One day I engaged the devs on discord about a linux version of the game, they pretty much flat out said it is never going to happen. I was actually pretty dejected when they said this, handed over founder status of the IRC channel to those who can actually play it and have pretty much given up hope on it ever coming to Linux.

I had gotten their old version working in WINE and posted the process on WINE's appdb, but after they went 64 bit only I have not been able to get it working again. I try with every new update of the game and WINE, but it is not looking good. Even with DXVK or WINE-Vulkan it does not have much hope of working without debugging with the original source available.
