If you want to be an astronomer and you're not in love with math you're not gonna do cosmology.
But there's more than enough astronomy to be done without math. Many observational papers are almost devoid of math, and I've known many great astronomers who had trouble with first year calculus.
I agree that there are some parts of the field that are impossible to do without being great at math, but I don't think there's a point in discouraging a kid from being an astronomer because of it.
Go for it, Emma! You'll do great.

Of course, I wouldn't expect it to be complete. What's the best one, do you think? Is there anyone at Facebook / an other company that might have better numbers than any public database? I'm thinking about this as part of a research project.

To add to this, about a year ago Matt Taibbi wrote a great article about exactly how much Goldman Sachs have screwed us over. He talks extensively about how they artificially inflated oil, housing, bet on people's pensions, and so on. It's a great (and infuriating) article, I highly recommend it.

Hi Sophie. I was wondering if you know whether any sort of database of this kind of behavior exists? Specifically, do you know about anywhere I could go to find out which countries have a high spread of the kind of digital misinformation you've worked on? Thanks!
