I don't really think drowning is peaceful for anything; the only thing worse would probably be being burned alive. As a field biologist, I take it upon myself to 'euthanize' overly injured animals I come across and find that most of them (especially birds) are very calm once they realize they aren't going to break away from your grasp.

Are you sure drowning isn't just the most peaceful way for you?
