Hey Macklemore!

1) You've been getting a lot of heat since the release of Same Love about being a white, cis male, hetero rapper who features these issues, though he may not have the "right" to do so. I was wondering if you had a response to these statements?

2) You and Ryan Lewis are the first duo to hit the charts in decades. What do you both have to say about collaboration in music, and whether or not that strengthened you individually as artists?

It's probably one of the best series ever, cancelled waaaayyy too soon. The reason Sampson was such a great character was because (as the writer said) when he was writing it, he wasn't writing specifically "a little person." He was just writing a person, which I think is the key to overcoming any stereotype.

Hey David! Thanks so much for doing this. Fellow Trojan here, currently in the screenwriting minor program at SC. First of all I want to say that Dark City is one of my favorite movies, and I feel that it's highly underrated.

For my questions: What keeps you moving forward when you're writing? That is, what keeps you from closing the script and never coming back to it? And how do you feel your time at school has helped you in your work?

I completely agree with everything you said, and in my original comment I didn't see the purpose of putting "I disagree, but I'd still like to know." Information is information, and I was just hoping to hear what he had to say about it all. And I also agree that it's very convenient that everyone forgets that he went to Mary Lambert first, meaning before he wrote his rap, to get an LGBT+ person's perspective before adding his own.
