Hello, I'm myself a music producer, mixer, masterer, (insert label because I just take whatever audio/music work I can whenever I can), though my dream isn't to do this kind of work. It is to do my own fun music on the side, and focus on scoring games and perhaps movies. I've adhered to the notion of music being great on its own, but greater as a compliment to something else.

I don't know how long it's been since you've seen the bottom of the industry, but for someone who has no name, how can one score a job in the industry? What are the studios looking for (aside from work experience in the field) when looking for someone to score their work?

If the question seems a little bit off-key, I'd also like to know how prevalent digital alternatives (like Miroslav Philharmonika) are in comparison to using real orchestras for recording OSTs.

I've long admired your work, and you're a natural celebrity to me since you do the things I merely dream of doing. I'm looking forward to hearing what your magical brain will bring to future games. :3
