Gilbert Gottfried is doing an AmA on my birthday?! I might have to make everyone sing to me in your voice to commemorate! Big fan, your bits on the Comedy Central roasts always have me rolling with laughter and Fifty Shades of Grey was pure gold.

Question: When did your voice mature into its own? I imagine an angry Gilbert Gottfried would have been pretty intense in a high school setting

You don't have to be authentic about everything. At the end of the day you still have a budget to hit.

You'd be surprised, almost every one of your examples have been used authentically in one movie or another from using authentic buildings or materials for set construction, to original guns as props and all the rest.

Perhaps Tarantino had his people reach out to Martin and they bit. So he nixed something else to make budgetary room for the guitar.

And that part of the move is a long pause in action/dialogue in the movie, a respite for a minute where the focus is almost completely on her for a good portion of the shot. It's entirely conceivable that he'd want the feature of that shot, the guitar, to be authentic above any of the other items throughout the movie that aren't worth the budget to make authentic
