Why don't the sexually abused ones get a roommate?

I needed help as a preteen and teen, but I never got it. My life sort of feels like an open wound. Trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, and that diminished self worth that comes with sexual and emotional abuse. Is it too late to get better? What should I do and can I do it without any financial support?
