Which is ridiculous, because as everyone knows over here in the UK our breakfasts are the most effective way to cure a hangover in the entire world.

Just an apple sandwich, but essentially what I was suggesting to the good man up there was what's known as a Ploughman's. Basically it's a huge chunk of sharp cheddar cheese, a big hunk of crusty farmhouse bread, apple chutney, pickle and a few other bits and bobs. It must be eaten whilst overlooking rolling countryside with plenty of hedgerows, at lunch time, in the shade of a small tree.
