I want to thank you for making the series -- really inspired me. I am glad that there are people like you out there!

Could you briefly explain the difference between general anesthesia and what I'll call waking anesthesia? I had a surgery that they decided on the waking form and they told me I would be conscious but unable to feel/recall when I came too and that's exactly what happened, but I'm curious about the difference in both terms of why they chose it over general and the different medications used. First was for an upper endoscopy and second was for cubital tunnel release
